Rear air charging
unit
Rear air charging
unit is designed to
make timely charging
and cooling of high
temperature nylon
cord tyre of
vulcanized rear
casing to ensure
correct size of tyre
and decrease
permanent
deformation of tyre
casing. This unit is
of 2 position 4
point type, which
can make air
charging for 4 tyres
at the same time, so
time of air charging
and cooling is equal
to twice of that of
vulcanization.
A. Main technical

B. This unit is
comprised of frame,
central unit, middle
beam, tyre
discharging roller
track, tyre stopper,
adjustable pitch
unit etc.
Central unit is
composed of upper
and lower pressing
discs, close lock
rod, nut, air
cylinder and guide
sleeve etc..
Interval between
upper and lower
pressing discs can
be adjusted through
screwing of nut in
order to match
different tyres. Up
and down movement of
upper pressing disc
is made through
dilation of air
cylinder, after
closing up of upper
and lower pressing
discs, close lock
rod will rotate
through lock
cylinder to make the
teeth displacement
between end of close
lock rod and lower
pressing disc, thus
locking lower
pressing disc.
Tyre discharging
roller track is
composed of welding
frame and several
galvanized rollers,
roller is made from
seamless steel pipe
and installed with
roll bearing at both
ends of inner hole,
gradient of roller
track is 15°, which
can make the tyre
slide down freely.
Structure of tyre
stopper is the same
as air cylinder,
when tyres enter
into roller track,
roller stop will
lift up to put the
tyres into setting
position.
Adjustable pitch
unit is used for
adjusting position
of roller frame to
match different
tyres.
C. When vulcanized
tyre enters into
rear air charging
central unit through
tyre discharging
mechanism,
photoelectric switch
makes action,
lifting air cylinder
also acts, active
beam rises up, top
ring falls down,
upper and lower
pressing discs seal
the opening of tyre,
then charge
compressed air to
make the tyre
expanded and cooled
naturally. Before
entrance of next
pair of tyres to be
charged and cooled,
the tyres under
charging and cooling
are turn over
controlled by rotary
mechanism and made
exchange of upper
and lower position,
another active beam
will fall down and
discharge tyre and
get ready for
acceptance of tyre.
D. PLC control is
used in this rear
air charging.
Controlled by main
program controller,
its process flow is
given as below: tyre
enters into rear air
charging----crossbeam
rises
up----crossbeam
closes----top ring
extension-----tyre
is
charged----crossbeam
turns over -----tyre
is exhausted-----top
ring shrinkage-----
crossbeam falls

We suppose if tyres
enter into yellow
position (x00620),
yellow active beam
will fall down,
after falling to
certain position
(x00617), tyre stop
lever will rise up
(SV51) and wait for
tyre to enter. After
entering of tyre,
photoelectric switch
will act (X00618,
x00619) and make the
centering (SV62) and
SV52 powered on and
the crossbeam risen.
After reaching
certain position
(x00622), (sv53)
will close after
power on, when close
reaches certain
position (x00626),
(sv60) powers on,
top ring extends,
tyre starts to
charge (sv54) and
time, crossbeam
turns over (sv55),
after timing of air
charging is over,
tyre will exhaust
(sv58), top ring
will shrink (sv61),
when exhaustion is
to zero (x00615),
crossbeam looses
(x00627), after
reaching certain
position, green
crossbeam will fall
down, rear air
charging will wait
for next tyres to
enter into green
crossbeam and make
air charging.
Tyres enter into
green position
(x00621), green
active beam falls
down, after falling
to certain position
(x00617), tyre stop
lever will rise up
(sv51) and wait for
tyre to enter. After
entering of tyres,
photoelectric switch
will act (X00618,
x00619) and make the
centering (SV62) and
SV52 powered on and
the crossbeam risen.
After reaching to
certain position of
crossbeam (x00623),
(sv63) will close
after power on, when
its close reaches
certain position
(x00626), (sv60)
powers on, top ring
extends, tyre starts
to charge (sv64) and
time, crossbeam
turns over (sv57),
after timing of air
charging is over,
tyre will exhaust
(sv68), top ring
will shrink (sv61),
when exhaustion is
to zero (x00616),
crossbeam looses
(x00627), after
reaching certain
position, yellow
crossbeam will fall
down, thus finishing
